photo projects

The OBJETIVO PURA VIDA project, portraying the biodiversity of Costa Rica, 2008-2009

The initiative for this project came from the Spanish Embassy in Costa Rica and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Their goals were to publicise the work of four of Spain’s best nature photographers (José B. Ruiz, Eduardo Blanco, Cristóbal Serrano and Isabel Díez), thus showing that Spain had top-class specialists in this field, and to show off the natural beauty and enormously rich biodiversity of Costa Rica. The photos taken by the members of the project team were shown in an exhibition that toured Costa Rica in 2009 and published in a book.

 

Management & co-ordination of the IRIS magazine 2011 - 2014

The Spanish Association of Nature Photographers has been publishing the magazine Iris since 1994. It has become a benchmark for the sector due to the quality of its contents and the care taken in its printing and layout. Its main goal is to publicise the work of the Association’s members by presenting a selection of their best pictures, along with interesting feature articles, opinion articles and portfolios. It also reports on the main activities of the Association, including the annual congress and all the work done by its various bodies, such as the Ethics and Conservation Committee.
